Three tee configurations from one product family

Magic Hybrid Tee

A 4-port coupler for matching, balance and isolation. With the E-plane port used as input, the two collinear outputs are 180° out of phase; with the H-plane port as input, the outputs are in phase. Equal-amplitude, in-phase signals applied to the two collinear ports combine at the H-plane port and cancel at the E-plane port.

Catalog values: 20% operating bandwidth, E-port VSWR 1.15:1, H-port VSWR 1.2:1, ±0.25 dB unbalance, 35 dB E/H isolation and 20 dB same-arm isolation.

E-Plane Tee

A 3-port tee with the auxiliary-arm junction on the broad wall of the main waveguide. It is available throughout the catalog range from WR2300 to WR10.

Catalog values: 100% operating bandwidth, E-port VSWR 1.15:1 and ±0.25 dB E/H unbalance.

H-Plane Tee

A 3-port tee with the auxiliary-arm junction on the narrow wall of the main waveguide. It is available throughout the catalog range from WR2300 to WR10.

Performance points used for model selection

Balance: phase and amplitude balance are key design parameters, especially for magic hybrid tee applications.
RF performance: VSWR, insertion loss and isolation are considered in the matching design.
Repeatability: matching techniques are used to support stable, repeatable electrical performance.
Interfaces: UG (square / round cover), CMR, CPR, UDR and model-specific cover / grooved flange designations are available across the family.

Finish note: All Dolph-MW models include a Surtec/corrosion-protection treatment and are painted flat black. Flanges are unplated, polished and Surtec treated. Other finishes and paint colors are available upon request. The published general summary also states Aluminum 6061-T6 with chromate conversion finish and gray epoxy enamel; confirm the final material and finish for the selected part number before order release.
