High Power Termination
The WHPL series terminates a rectangular waveguide path by absorbing incident RF power. The published air-cooled models span WR650 to WR10, with individual bands within 1.13–112 GHz and model-dependent CW ratings of 10–4000 W. Select the load by its complete model row, flange and cooling conditions; a low VSWR does not establish a peak-power rating or guarantee protection under every fault.
Dolph Microwave high-power waveguide terminations provide a dissipative load at the end of a transmission line or an unused RF port. The published air-cooled WHPL models list VSWR values from 1.03:1 to 1.15:1 and CW ratings from 10 W to 4000 W, depending on the selected band and model. Confirm airflow, ambient temperature, installation orientation and incident power before applying a rating. Material, flange, finish and ingress-protection entries remain tied to the model table.
Reliable termination for high-power RF and microwave paths
The WHPL air-cooled load converts absorbed RF energy into heat. Use it within the selected model’s electrical and thermal limits; its specified input match is not zero reflection.
The listed range covers WR650 to WR10, 1.13 to 112 GHz and 10 to 4000 W CW. A separate water-cooled product family is available for higher average-power requirements.

Product range at a glance
Select from operating conditions, not WR size alone
Specify the full operating band, exact flange and both average and peak power. For pulsed service, include pulse width and repetition rate; for an isolated transmitter path, include the worst reverse-power condition. Cooling and installation requirements must be part of the approved configuration.
Frequency & WR Size
Match the complete operating band to the corresponding standard rectangular waveguide size.
Continuous Power
Provide continuous power, anticipated peak power and duty profile.
Cooling Conditions
Air-cooled models require sufficient ventilation and heat-release clearance.
Flange Interface
Confirm cover or grooved construction and the exact EIA/IEC designation.

Capabilities available for component support
RF Measurement
The company support page lists vector and scalar RF measurement resources up to 100 GHz. This does not establish measured full-band acceptance for every model listed up to 112 GHz; request the test coverage and report for the selected load.
Environmental Testing
Temperature, humidity, salt-fog and other environmental testing must be specified for the delivered assembly. General facility capability is not evidence that every load has passed each test.
Precision Manufacturing
Capabilities include CNC milling and turning, waveguide forming and bending, brazing, soldering, plating, passivation and assembly.
